In 1997, Sverica acquired the assets of Southern Micrographix, Inc. (SMI), a leading regional document processing company in Birmingham, AL. After acquiring a billing operation from a Fortune 50 company in 1998, Sverica merged the two companies to form AccuDocs LLC, the largest independent document processing company in the United States. In December 2000, AccuDocs LLC was sold to a strategic buyer in a cash-based transaction, including very attractive returns for Sverica's investors.
